My approach
Children don't hate maths — they hate being confused by it.
Over twenty eight years I've refined a workable approach: start from what a child already knows, rebuild the foundations that are missing, and only then push on. When they understand it, maths becomes something they can enjoy.
An honest first assessment
Before any lesson plan, I assess where your child actually is and talk it through with you. Everything after that is built around their gaps and goals.
Support that builds confidence
Confidence in the tutor leads to confidence in the subject. Lessons are friendly and unhurried, with room to get things wrong safely.
Feedback you can act on
Weekly homework, regular assessments, verbal feedback after every session and a written termly report on progress.

Meet your tutor
Hello — I'm Neelu.
I've spent twenty eight years teaching maths, and most of my lessons still happen around a kitchen table with whiteboards, marker pens and a lot of encouragement. Pupils come to me nervous about maths and leave putting their hand up in class.
Every family gets an honest first assessment, weekly homework aimed squarely at the gaps, and a termly written report — plus a tutor who is genuinely on your child's side.

What parents say
The reassurance that comes with the results.
“Our son went from being frightened of maths to genuinely enjoying it. The weekly homework was always aimed at exactly what he'd got wrong.”
“Patient, thorough and endlessly encouraging with our daughter's A-Level. She finished with the A* she needed for her university offer.”
“The termly reports meant we always knew exactly where he stood. That kind of honest feedback is rare and it made all the difference.”
